It all started with a dragonfly, well not really, as it began long before that. Truly Transforming was birthed out of a situation that cut deep, but one that made me introspect and come to a significant realization. The realization was that my journey with Yehovah (God) is just that, a journey and I have not arrived. In 2017, Yehovah (God) touched my life with a dragonfly when life hit rock bottom. Although we should not focus on signs, entirely, at that time, He allowed the experience to give me hope. I found that the dragonfly symbolizes new beginnings and true to its meaning, that is exactly what Yehovah (God) gave to me.
Since then, I was led to eating a plant-based diet, keeping the Sabbath, letting go of make-up and jewelry, and changing my overall appearance and style of dress. While those physical changes took place, the most transformative work that Yehovah (God) continues to do is on my character.
This journey is about being transformed into His image. The word image is synonymous with likeness, replica, or reflection. To be changed into His image in this life means to have a changed state of mind. One that is holy, righteous, and pure.
We are changed into His image by the Word and being led by His Spirit, a journey of being changed in character through the sanctifying acts of the Messiah in order to attain glorification.
It’s important to understand that our physical wellness affects the spiritual life. Yeshua (Jesus) spent time with people, healed them of physical and spiritual sickness, and took care of their basic needs, then bid them to follow Him in serving the Father. When we are not bogged down by disease of the body or of the mind, we can be more in tune with Yehovah (God) and grow spiritually, all in order to serve and glorify Him.
Truly transforming offers a space where people can grow based on inspiration from the Word and testimonies, learn about health principles in caring for our bodies, and find products that contribute to a healthier lifestyle.
